Urinary Tract Disorders

As in our homes, everyone is happy if the “plumbing” works right. Urinary difficulties can make life more than just annoying. It can be painful. Whether it is an issue of inconvenient leakage at just the wrong moments, kidney or bladder infections or the more painful clearance issue – gout, there is much that can be done to help.

Acupuncture has been used to treat a variety of urinary challenges. We commonly treat patients with urinary leakage, incomplete emptying of the bladder, frequent urinary tract infections, prostate difficulties, kidney pain and swelling. Not only do we find acupuncture effective, but the use of herbal remedies in combination that help strengthen, improve urinary tract immunity, reduce swelling and inflammation and a variety of other effects is also employed.

Gout is something we are seeing more and more often. It is a kidney origin that can affect any joint, and can be extremely painful. Not only have we been able to help the pain, inflammation and swelling of gout, but also to employ measures to improve kidney clearance and pH to prevent future occurrences.
