A Body Burdened

We all carry mental and emotional burdens. But what about body burdens? The term “Body Burden” or “Toxic Burden” refers to a condition in which the body houses an accumulation of toxins from environmental and other exposures. These physiological burdens steal our energy, inhibit our ability to lose weight, interfere with proper healing and immune function, contribute to cancer, auto-immune and other degenerative diseases, and just plain disrupts your health.

While the EPA, FDA and other regulating agencies have established upper end levels of toxicity from many of our food additives and environmental toxins, there are serious gaps in this protection. One factor is bio-accumulation. Many of our food additives and other chemicals stay in the body’s tissues for years and even decades. These, over time, erode away important physiological functions and contribute to disease. Another factor is the chemistry of a combination of chemicals. Anyone who has taken chemistry classes understands that the simple omission or addition of one chemical can drastically change the outcomes.

For instance, water is composed of 2 hydrogen and 1 oxygen molecule (H2O). But what happens if you add just one more oxygen molecule? It shouldn’t matter much, but it does. 2 hydrogen molecules, combined with 2 oxygen molecules (H2O2) is hydrogen peroxide! Wouldn’t want to drink that! How chemicals combine in our bodies are very important indeed!

Toxic accumulation can occur from food, from practically all medications, including vaccinations, eating processed foods, and by eating foods commercially grown using herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, etc. Then of course there’s the toxins added to our water and air as a result of an industrialized nation. If that’s not enough, we contribute our own waste in our body. Every physiological function in the body results in wastes. While our bodies are designed naturally to eliminate this waste, because of the aforementioned insults, we overwhelm our body’s ability to eliminate it all.

So how can we un-burden the body? We can do a cleanse. I recommend a 21 Day Purification Program that cleanses the accumulation of toxic waste from every organ system at least twice yearly. After the holidays, the beginning of the year is a perfect time to do that.

Cleanses, detoxes, purification programs (just different terms), is a process of helping the eliminative organs – liver, gallbladder, kidneys, intestines, lymph and blood, (carries toxins to the eliminative organs) to remove waste.

Doing a cleanse properly, with appropriate guidance is a must. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve met that have tried detoxification programs and wound up sick – with headaches, abdominal bloating and cramping, and with energy so low. It’s not supposed to be like that.

After nearly 40 years of leading cleansing programs, we have found what supports you. Most people feel great throughout the program and many feel so energized that they ask if it is okay to continue longer.

This is the time. Get the burden off your body now.
